I think the Edelweiss would be a neat addition to the green patch collection. You may have heard the name in The Sound of Music. This flower is generally associated with European mountain regions and it grows at very high altitudes. It might be their national flower of Switzerland...but don't quote me. There's also a cute little story to go with it, since the flower grows so high in the mountains in treacherous terrain, it is said that if a girl receives this flower from a courting boy it is a sign of dedication and true love. The flower is very different, it has fuzzy white petals ( maybe to stay warm in the mountains) in the shape of a star.
